Groundbreaking, sexy, feminist and 100% Madrid:
The 2nd Independent Adult Film Festival

In its second year this unique festival promises a series of groundbreaking, never before shown films that deal with the subject of sex, erotica and gender images. More than 100 features, shorts and documentaries from all over the world will be presented in four days on three movie theatres in Madrid. The 2nd Independent Adult Film Festival is aimed to a sophisticated and tolerant audience of self-confident women, progressive men and people who question gender and sexual orientation, who see adult films as political, subversive, fun and challenging. On offer is explicit sex, at times conventional and at other times experimental; reflections on the porno industry; and just plain funny looks at the subject of desire and sexual intercourse, through sexy, daring, edgy, groundbreaking, feminist, lesbian, gay, bisexual, straight, transgender and most of all entertaining films.

Focus Women

Where other festivals are weak, the Independent Adult Film Festival shows its biggest strength: films by women. Half of this year’s program consists of work by women. The feminine vision of sexuality and lust, especially in relation to the current debate on role models and gender images, is more fascinating than ever. Many women filmmakers will be attending this year’s festival as guests, from Melbourne to San Francisco, and from Paris to Barcelona.

Award

In the tradition of our first edition, an international jury will present an award for the festival’s Best Pornographic Short Film.

Special Programs

This year we are happy to show special programmes curated by our partners from the Berlin Porn Film Festival and CineKink New York: a series of films that looks at the correlation and overlap of pornography and genre films.

More than films

The festival will be presenting lectures and workshops on subjects such as Filmmaking for Women, Erotic Massage for Couples and Bondage. Many of the filmmakers whose films will be shown will be present in Madrid and available to discuss their work with audiences. Moreover, a wide range of activities dealing with sexuality will be programmed during the festival in partner galleries, art spaces and restaurants.
